Hello Everyone!
I am Yuji, the founder of Bridge International.
We, Bridge International, have been contributing to the local communities of Kisarazu and Sodegaura through our activities and events, such as Bridge International Café (a monthly community-building English conversation event) and Yuji’s English Conversation Club, since 2022.
As you are aware, we are currently living in an era of globalization. People move from everywhere to everywhere across the world for study, work, and even to change their citizenship. Reflecting the situation in Japan, the population of internationals from overseas is increasing year by year, and also, people in Japan, especially younger generations, are increasingly moving overseas.
With this current trend, we would like to bless our local communities as bridge builders. We seek to create international communities for everyone, including internationals, returnees, and international-minded Japanese, and anyone in our communities, to be loved, prayed for, and noticed. The current American president, Donald Trump, often says, “We will make America Great.” I hope that Bridge International helps make the local communities great for everyone who lives in the communities. Also, we would be delighted to contribute to making Japan a great place for our God, who loves Japan and the world.

ブリッジ・インターナショナルのFounderのユージです。
私たちブリッジ・インターナショナルは、2023年12月以降、Bridge International Café やユージ英会話クラブなどのイベントを通して、木更津市と袖ヶ浦市のコミュニティーに貢献しています。
みなさんもお気づきのように、私たちは今、国際化時代の中に生きています。世界中の人々は国から国へと勉強、仕事、あるいは国籍を変えるために、移住しています。この日本を顧みても、同じことが起こっています。多くの人々が今日本に移住しています。日本の特に若い世代を中心に人々はこれまでにないほどに世界の国々に移住する時代に入っています。
このような背景にあって、私たちブリッジ・インターナショナルは日本と世界をつなぐ架け橋でありたいと願っています。また私たちはこの地域に住むみなさんーインターナショナルの人々、帰国者、国際人の心をもった日本人を含む―が愛され、祈られ、自分の存在が尊ばれていると感じられるためのインターナショナルなコミュニティーを作りたいと願っています。アメリカ大統領のトランプ・ドナルドさんはいつもこう言っています：「私たちはアメリカを偉大な国にします！」私たちブリッジ・インターナショナルもまた、この木更津・袖ヶ浦の地域が偉大ですばらしい地域になるための小さな手助けをすることができればと願っています。また私たちはこの世界と日本を愛しておられる神さまのために、日本が偉大ですばらしい国になれるような手助けをしたいと願っています。
Introduction
Yuji Iwata
Yuji has lived in Canada with his family for 7-8 years. His children grew up in Canada; thus their mother tongue is English. His three children (a 22-year-old son, a 20-year-old daughter, and an 18-year-old daughter) are now back in Canada (Medicine Hat in Alberta). His two older children work at an accounting firm in their town after their study at their college. His youngest child is taking Early Education and Childcare at her college. Yuji graduated from Lethbridge College (taking General Studies) in Lethbridge, Alberta, and Tyndale University (taking Hebrew) in Toronto. Yuji just entered a new chapter of his life by becoming an empty nester and moving to Kaneda, Kisarazu, with his wife Eri in December 2024. Yuji is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and belongs to the Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge, AB, Canada.
ユージは7-8年間、家族と共に移民の国カナダに住んだ経験があります。彼の３人の子ども（22, 20, & 18才）はカナダで育ち、英語が第一言語。３人の子どもたちはこの数年の間にカナダに戻り、現在アルバータ州メディスンハット市在住。長男と長女は大学を卒業して、その町の中心部にある会計事務所にて勤務。次女は大学で幼児教育を勉強中。ユージはアルバータ州レスブリッジ市のレスブリッジ大学（一般教養学）とオンタリオ州トロント市のティンデール大学院（ヘブル語専攻）を卒業。子どもが全員巣立ったことによって人生の新しい章が開始。同時に、ユニークな妻と共に木更津市の金田に昨年１２月移住。ユージはアメリカ長老教会とレスブリッジ福音自由教会に所属（カナダ・アルバータ州レスブリッジ市）。

Hello! I'm Eri, Yuji's assistant. I hope to serve people in the Kaneda community together with Yuji. Many people in the community ask me this: "Why do you want to serve people in your community?" The reason is this: I spent seven years in Canada with my husband Yuji and my small children. Since Yuji was a student there, many friends supported us in many ways: financially, materially, and spiritually. We could not have survived without their support. One day, one of my Canadian friends said this to me, and her encouragement is the reason I serve people in the community: "Eri, "You don't have to pay us back for our kindness; just show that same kindness to other people in your future community, when you and your family are settled back in Japan. It will be an expression of thanks to God." Now our children have grown up and flown the nest, and are back living in Canada. Now is the time for us to fulfill that promise. Our children are starting to pay kindness back to their Canadian town, and we are starting to pay it back to the Kaneda community!
こんにちは！ゆうじのアシスタントの絵里です。ゆうじと共に金田の地域でお役に立てることを願っています．「なぜ？」と多くに人たちに質問されます。その答えは幼い子供たちと共に過ごした7年間のカナダ生活にあります。夫が学生だったこともあり、多くの友人たちが経済的に物質的にそして精神的にサポートしてくれました。彼らなしでは私たちは生活できませんでした。その中の友人の1人の言葉が今の私の働きの出発点です。「絵里、私たちにお返しを決してしないで。日本に帰ってえりたちが安定した時に、その地域の人たちに貢献する形でお返しをして。それは神様への感謝の表れだから。」と。今子供達は巣立ちカナダに戻って生活しています。今がその約束を果たす時です。子供達はカナダで、そして私たちはカネダ地域（金田）で恩返しの始まりです！
